Many women wish to enhance their femininity by undergoing cosmetic surgical procedures such as breast augmentations and tummy tucks. When considering plastic surgery, be sure to choose a surgeon who is a board-certified specialist and speak to him or her about whether you are a good candidate for the procedure.
In this video, you can learn about the costs of cosmetic surgery procedures and how to finance them. The host, a registered financial consultant, discusses the financing options that are typically available to those who are considering cosmetic surgery. Because most health insurance companies do not cover cosmetic procedures, it’s important to seek avenues of funding.

I've been very impressed with the results repeating in our office with the new Smart Lipo Triplex system. This is the most advanced laser lipolysis treatment available. We use it on patients that have small areas of fat deposits that persist despite patient watching their diet and exercising regularly. The most common places that were treating our the neck and jaw line, love handles, chest (on men), the small fat pocket in front of the armpit (on women), the inner thighs and knee area as well as the small "pooch" on the lower abdomen. The procedure is done in the office under a local anesthetic and patients recover with little or no pain. They are back to work in 1-2 days and are exercising the next day. Every patient that we've done so far has seen a positive result and are pleased that they had the procedure.

In some instances, women have enlarged or asymmetrical labia due to congenital defects or the stretching of the tissue during childbirth. These women can experience pain during intercourse, while wearing tight clothing, or even during their everyday activities. Women can also experience sexual dysfunction or embarrassment because of these perceived imperfections. If you are suffering from any of these issues, or if you dislike the size or shape of your labia, labiaplasty, also known as labia reduction or vaginal rejuvenation, may be a wise treatment for you.
What is Labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty is a procedure that has the ability to effectively reduce and reshape large or asymmetrical labia minora, or the skin covering the clitoris and vaginal opening. During the operation, the surgeon removes the excess tissue and creates more shapely labia minora. The labia majora may also be reduced to aesthetically balance the tissues. Labiaplasty is a permanent procedure performed on an outpatient basis that typically requires up to two hours to perform.
What are the Benefits of Labiaplasty?
This treatment can also enhance a woman’s sexual experience by removing some of the skin that covers the clitoris. Clitoral hood reduction is often performed as part of a labiaplasty procedure. Both of these procedures enhance a woman’s confidence by creating more symmetrical labia, which alleviate the awkwardness that some women feel when with their sexual partners. Rejuvenating the labia will also eliminate the pain or discomfort associated with conditions such as labial hypertrophy.
You can learn more about this procedure and discuss your desire for labiaplasty with Dr. Perlman during a consultation at the Advanced Plastic Surgery Centre. Dr. Perlman’s knowledge and experience has enhanced the lives of many women in the greater Houston area. He was one of the first plastic surgeons to learn the procedure and his techniques are very effective and heal quickly. He has trained other physicians in the procedure. Botox is a simple, nonsurgical treatment performed to temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines in patients from 18 to 65 years of age. Although this treatment is safe, effective and the most commonly performed nonsurgical cosmetic procedure in America, there are many persistent myths surrounding Botox. Read on to learn about five myths and why they are untrue.
- Myth: Botox is toxic to the body.
Like other FDA-approved drugs, Botox is completely safe when administered professionally and in the correct dose. Botox has been safely used for decades in the treatment of wrinkles and medical conditions. - Myth: There are facial creams that can achieve the same results as Botox.
Many cosmetic companies advertise their products as being ‘better than Botox.’ These companies are not required by the FDA to prove their claims and lack any well-founded studies to prove their anti-wrinkle effects. - Myth: Botox injections are painful.
Botox is administered with a very tiny needle, allowing for injections that are relatively pain-free; most patients tolerate the treatments with little discomfort. - Myth: Botox injections will distort your facial expressions.
When properly administered by a qualified physician, Botox will help to give you a youthful, rejuvenated appearance. Receiving Botox treatments from unqualified personnel can result in overdose or misdirected injections, which can affect facial expressions. - Myth: Botox and dermal fillers work the same way.
Botox and dermal fillers are not the same. While both can lessen the appearance of wrinkles, Botox relaxes the muscles while fillers literally fill in the wrinkle with a medically safe substance.
Botox is an FDA-approved treatment that typically reduces the appearance of wrinkles by 80 percent. Dr. Perlman and the Advanced Plastic Surgery Centre have helped thousands of men and women reduce their wrinkles with Botox injections. He is a Platinum level Botox provider because of the high volume of patients that he treats. To learn more about this treatment or to schedule a consultation, contact us at (281) 394-4167.

The aging process can leave the skin with many undesirable imperfections, such as spots, folds, and wrinkles. Many of these effects are caused by the breakdown of collagen, the substance that gives skin its smoothness and tautness.
In this video, you can learn about a new laser therapy designed to erase lines and promote collagen growth. The microscopic gaps produced by a special laser trigger the production of more collagen, rejuvenating the appearance of the face.
